Jaya Hind Industries, the Pune-based aluminum casting specialist, has announced a phased investment of ₹600 crore, roughly €60–70 million, to expand high-pressure and gravity die casting capacity across its Indian plants over the next two financial years. The program, reported between August 12 and 24, 2026, adds more than twelve HPDC machines rated from 1,200 to 3,500 tonnes, a new facility in Chennai, and deeper in-house machining, heat treatment, impregnation, and powder coating. The spending splits across three sites: Akurdi and Urse near Pune, and Chennai, where Jaya Hind had already broken ground on a ₹200 crore expansion in December 2025. Why India, and Why Now
Jaya Hind is part of the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group and has cast aluminum in India since the 1960s, supplying domestic and export automotive programs. The company entered large structural components in 2019 and acquired German e-mobility parts maker LMG Manufacturing GmbH in 2022, giving it a European production foothold. This expansion follows the same logic on a bigger scale: vehicle programs keep replacing assemblies of stamped and welded parts with single large castings, and that work needs bigger machines, tighter process control, and finishing under one roof.
